As part of the patriotic campaign, a chapel was opened at the memorial in the Krupki District. The "Silent Echo of War" campaign is being held on the initiative of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus. The chapel was built on the site of the battle in which Vasily Chebotarev, an operative for the SMERSH counterintelligence department, a native of the Krupki District, died in 1944. This is the first such facility in Belarus so far, and chapels have been built in a number of regions in Russia.
